    Prarthana Foolchand

Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry from Auckland University of Technology

Prarthana has worked in a range of different settings from community work, to aged care and private practice. She has had the pleasure of working in Queensland and Victoria as a podiatrist where she worked alongside and expanded her podiatric knowledge and skills from other seasoned Podiatrists and allied health professionals. Prarthana relocated to Sydney in 2021.

Prarthana brings great care to consider the whole person and their lifestyle as well as her patient’s goals in her treatments, and likes to take the time to clearly outline and tailor an individual’s treatment plan in order to give them the best outcome to improve their health and quality of life.

Prarthana enjoys all aspects of podiatry, in particular nail and skin care, and diabetes foot care. She is an advocate for foot health education and is not shy to let her patients know how to look after their feet to prevent complications down the track. Prarthana is delighted when her patients ask questions and happy to discuss any questions patient’s have about how their foot health relates to their overall health.

Without a doubt Prarthana is a people person, she comes from a tight knit family with a proud South African Indian heritage, where everyone is always there for each other or to lend a helping hand – not to mention all the fun she has at family gatherings! At a young age her family moved to New Zealand and she feels very fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful part of the world and returns as often as she can to visit family and friends.

Prarthana is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association
